It feels like people who didnt like the concept of Scooby doo made this movie. You know those type of people who think they know better than the actual fans of the franchise. They get a hold of the characters and make a movie unfaithful to the originals, because its how they wished it was, and theyre doing it for their own selfish desires rather than for the fans. Sure, kids might like this movie, and adults arent suppose to be the demographic, but I thought it was pretty obvious at this point theres a large amount of adults that like cartoons. Even those who dont, at least have this nostalgic connection to Scooby Doo specifically, because they grew up watching it. It wasnt like it was a seventies show and then disappeared for 40 years. Its constantly been a household title for people of all ages. There wasnt some consensus that the series was losing its touch either, nothing to warrant completely scrapping its premise at least. What Im trying to say is there was no good reason to reboot Scooby Doo. Its clear that the creators dont respect the source material and are doing a real disservice to Hanna-Barbera and their characters, including the obscure ones they threw into this movie. All they care about is money, and theyre desecrating the Hanna-Barbera name to get it. I realize some of the workers and creators on this movie probably thought they were making something great, but sadly they were naive to think this is what the viewers wanted. And those who knew better were outnumbered by the ignorant and by the capitalists. Its sad to see household names like Scooby doo taking hits because of the reboot mentality in Hollywood. I just cant wait for this whole fad to be over with.

2:38 (SPOILERS FOR SONIC) me when longclaw dies in sonic. It's a scooby doo movie that doesn't want to be a scooby doo movie. I've been a pretty big fan of Scooby Doo since the 90s. I have found memories of watching Where Are You reruns on CN as well as What's New. Scooby, Shaggy and the gang have always been amazing at entertaining me.
When it came to Scoob, I wasn't sure at first how this movie was gonna be. It looked good from the trailers, but I was a little concerned because the live action films haven't aged very well.
I can definitely say that this was a solid film though and definitely kept me entertained. Plenty of throwbacks for nostalgia and it's really cool that Warner Bros seems to be setting up a Hanna Barbara universe. All voice acting was actually really good. It took some getting used to with Shaggy, but Will Forte did manage do sell me on his performance. I honestly nearly forgot that Fred was voiced by Zach Efron and the rest of them were so convincing that I didn't even think about who that voice was. It felt like the gang to me.
The plot was a bit convoluted at times, and not everything was executed well, but it was by no means bad. It's just good family friendly fun that anyone can enjoy. My only problem is it can maybe come off as forgettable. Either way though, its definitely worth a watch or 2.

I kinda liked Scoob, but I just HATE the fact that they replaced the other voice actors for CELEBRITIES. I know exactly who this is its ken Jon. He doesnt sound like a stoner, this is weird. I must have watched Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase at least a hundred times. The official pages links arent even clickable anymore. Region lock has never been more restrictive than this. Is that imagine dragons music. And here I am still missing mystery incorporated. I love your theories, but we don't talk about be cool Scooby Doo. Everyone swear never to talk about it again.

This movie shouldn't been the hanana barbera hbcu also it should have ben a flintstones movie. At first I was like, Why didn't they make puppy Scooby sound younger? But then I realized, Oh. Right. Scrappy... Dang this movie was good. I like the movie just because it has scooby doo in his friends.

The title implied youd be diving through all of his appearances to prove hes an alien. Instead you go off of one show where hes an alien and then prove its canon. Matthew Lillard is Shaggy. Not this imposter. Gotta love the ' more gun' theme playing during the video. He sounds like he's so sad. It's not a Scooby Doo movie, it's an experience. Also, seeing Dastardly really makes me miss the old days of Boomerang when they would air Wacky Races.

Shaggys voice is off because thats his voice when hes using 100% power.

So sick of studios thinking they need big Hollywood actors to do voices of animated characters. Cutting out the original voice actors feels so slimy.

This one should just stay a classic imo. I like the inclusion of many lost golden Hanna Barbara characters. I grew up with this and really cant wait to see it.
